BMP --> JPEG

sort of an odd request, Is there any program available (for free, if possible) that can convert a mass ammount (about 3gigs) of BMP files to JPEGS/JPG's? It will be on a system running Win98SE. Thanks alot for a any info.

paint shop pro can do a batch conversion...the trial version should be able to do it as well. http://www.jasc.com

yeah...use that one. its always free (i think...i've never used it). disregard my suggestion

Although I'll quickly admit my addiction to PSP and that it is a program I have open all day the playing of video files comes in handy and if you can't open a file that is saved in a certain format but happens to have the wrong extension irfanview can fix it so you can view the file as intended. I've used that feature a great deal.

well, i've been using PSP for a while now, and I've tried other ones (Photoshop) and I can't get the feel for it. So, I've stuck with PSP and Paint. If I can't accomplish what I'm doing with those two, then I shouldn't be doing any graphics!
