Booting from CD-Drive

    CaiSter21 Private E-2

    have a toshiba laptop satellite 1005-S157 using a cd drive SD-R2212.

    i am tryin to boot from cd so i can use phlak and knoppix-std.

    but i am unable to.

    when i press the "c" key to boot from cd, it just turns to a black screen with a blinkin line
    and then turns to the windows safe mode option menu

    does anyone know how i can boot to cd?
