brightness of moniter dims when running of battery

    Hi all,
    I currently have a dell inspiron 1300 and am wondering how to increase the brightness of te screen when it is running of battery power. As evrytime you remove the ac power cable the brightness decreases to save power. Does anyone know how to change the setting for this.

    Either in display options or power options from control panel....

    May not be possible. May be a Dell "feature", but as suggested, you might find something in the BIOS settings, or do a google search on Dell Inspiron 1300 screen, or similar. Bazza
