Broken External Harddrive

Hello,

I had been using this brand of external harddrive without any problems for about 6 months, when it dropped once (while connected) and broke. It still reads somewhat, but takes very long periods to access certain files.

The ebay seller has no repair services and I do not know where or how to get it fixed. Please help!

You would like to get it repaired?Well basically you cant,you can only get hardrives replaced,the good news is you can still access it so you can back up your important files,contact the store you bought it from it should still be under warranty they should replace it,or contact IBM, last time I checked they had a 3 years manufacturers warranty on everything they make so replacement shouldn't be a problem in either case

P.S Dont tell them you dropped it click this link and follow the instructions,"the drive is manufactured by hitachi for IBM" if the retailer refuses to take the drive back,if you live in the UK read the link in my sig for your right of replacement
