Browser Blues and Outlook Express too!

In the last day or so my IE 6.x and Outlook Express have all of a sudden become so slow I thought I had a dial up connection. I have Comcast and it runs at 3 Mbits so that is not the problem. I cleaned my spyware, ran anti-virus, cleared temp files, defraged x3. and cleared my cache and still I want to toss my this machine out the window.

When I switch to my Netscape 7.0 the speed comes back when I browse.

I am running WIN 98se with 256 Ram, 800 MHz Athlon.


Help!! What the hell is causing this incredible slowing of my mail and browsing?

What spyware & antivirus protection/tools are you using?

If you haven't already used...try Spybot 1.3 and Ad-aware 6 {use both)for spyware. AVG for antivirus.

I am using Ad-Aware SE Personal which is new and I had over 700 hits!!
