browser not displaying some images

    I have a Sony VGC-LV150J with Win7 64bit OS that will not display some images via the internet browser. They do not show up as red X's just blanks. It seams to be buttons via the source code. When looking at www.yahoo.com, the arrows to move the 5 images of new clips only show a 2 box's. No arrows are displayed. Most of the other images don't even have box's, just blank space.

    Has anyone seen this before?

    Hi

    Try the info given HERE to start with and double check that in Internet Explorer and the Tools > Options > Advanced menu that Show Pictures is ticked.

    Have you installed any new software before this happened? and if so what?
    If you have any toolbars installed uninstall them all, then reboot and try your browser.

    It looks like it will display jpg & flash, but will not display png or gif images...

    I take that back... On the yahoo home page the gif image of yahoo top left does not display but the little gif images under yahoo sites do...

    By the way. Thanks DavidGP but it did not solve the problem.. I think I will reload the OS and see it that help. I was hoping not to do that.
