Bsod 0x00000024 Help

Hi,

i am running xp pro sp2 and getting a bsod when the computer goes into the windows loading screen

the error code is
stop: 0x00000024 (0x00190203,0x86f69428,0x00000102,0x00000000)

any help would be greatly appreciated

 

Stop Error 24 is an NTFS file sytem error.

Either slave the drive to another pc and run check disk on it or

Boot the pc from your Windows CD
Don't forget to watch for the press any key to boot from CD as you boot
accept the licence (F8)
At the welcome to setup press R for recovery console
At the next screen type the number of the XP installation you want to recover (probably 1)
Enter or enter administrator password
at the prompt enter chkdsk /r

When finished restart the pc.

 

i connected it to another pc with a usb to ide cable and when it came up in my computer, it said "unable to detect drive. it is either corrupted or unreadable"


i did however recover all of the data with the program "getdataback" for ntfs.
that program works like a dream
