Hi. I have Windows Vista Ultimate 64 and I was trying to crack a program for ear training (I promess I won't keep trying to crack it and coming back) and immediately after I tried to run it I got a BSOD. My computer restarted and immediately after logging into Windows I got another. I tried again and this time it took several minutes or even hours after logging in to get one. It went like this for a day or so and then it BSOD again and wouldn't stay logged in for more than a minute anymore, and it also distorted all the colors, like I were running a 8-bit color thingie. I tried using safe mode but it would BSOD too, only it took longer. I downloaded on my own Malware bytes, Emisoft Anti Malware and Super Anti-Spyware and tried running them on safe mode. Super Malware Bytes found only 1 malware which it removed, and the other two could never finish running before BSODing (Super Malware Bytes would BSOD exactly after I clicked to remove all the Malware founds, which were 47). Emisoft had found 82 low threat ones, 2 mid and 4 high but I never had the chance to try and remove them or even finish scanning. I then considered suicide for a brief moment, but eventually decided I should try to restore the system to many days before the infection. After that when I restarted the computer the colors were back to normal (by the way they were always normal in safe mode and when booted normally they would be strange already when the Windows logo first shows up right before logging in), but soon after I got another BSOD and the next time I started the computer the colors would be weird again. I booted in safe mode and tried reinstalling windows from a flash drive. It looked like it was gonna work and it got to the point where windows has to restart to continue but then it said some file failed to initialize and I had to click ok to terminate it, I didn't write down the file's name because at the time I didn't think it was gonna be a problem. The next time the computer restarted I could choose between my previous windows vista installation and an OS named Vista setup or something of the kind. Whenever I chose this new "OS" it started almost normally except I had to choose a user name named Other user, which then asked for a user name and a password. I tried all possible combinations of admin(istrator)/pass(word) and its' variants but it always said the domain couldn't be found or connected to. I think this is all, sorry for the confusion. I did read the topics about not bumping and things to try first, but I need a way to ensure I can finish the scans before getting another mfing BSOD.

    Thank you very much.

PS.: I've attached the cursed crack.

edit: I don't have internet at home atm so I can't update any of the software

edit2: the BSOD said that windows was shutdown to prevent damaged, that IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL and
    *** STOP: 0x0000000A, 0x00000000000000A, 0x000000000000000C, 0x0000000000000000, 0xFFFFF800030088489

but sometimes the message would be different. And after the BSOD for the brief time I could stay logged in Windows would show that message saying it recovered.

My advice to you is to visit the software forum for advice on this and then once you are in a stable enough condition to run all the scans you can return here.
