Hey i'm hoping someone can translate these dump files for me and tell me what the problem is. I'm assuming it's the cpu but not sure why, my temps are fine and I opened up my case to allow more air flow and cleaned out the dust. Basically after playing for about 30min I get a BSOD.

**Had to change the file extension to .txt to upload, change it back to .dmp

If any more info is required let me know and i'll provide it, thanks!

If you can copy the dmp files to your Desktop, zip and upload them, I'll try to debug (don't rename, just zip them).

The BSOD's are all 0x124's, hardware errors. I checked 1 of them, results are below. Taking the results literally, there is a cache problem on the 4th core of the CPU.
    Code:

What does that mean exactly? My cpu isn't overclocked or anything like that. Can i fix it?

  7. satrow

If the readout is literally correct, you can't fix it. Perhaps your motherboard will allow you to disable the 4th core, otherwise it's a new CPU needed.

lol that sounds pretty shitty since i just bought this new cpu like 6mths ago.
    are they under warranty? :cry

Whoa there tonto. These errors for BFBC2 are rampant on the internet...so its likely NOT a CPU issue. It's likely caused by EA's infamous coding for BC2.

Several suggested fixes (via quick Google search) suggest disabling Realtech audio drivers, or if you have a Gigabyte MB it may be the EasyTune software.

My friend and I have very similar setups and are experiencing the problem as well, though his is much more rampant. Will post back if I find out the cause.

    Welcome to Majorgeeks :)

Why don't you create a new thread and attach your minidump(s), we'll soon see how similar the problems are, kimosabe.

I've checked out your suggestions and neither appear to be applicable here, audio is Via and there's no trace of Easy Tune drivers.

I've also done a little more digging, and the Realtek audio 'fix' appears to be:
There's also a firm connection between punkbuster-enabled servers and this error.
