Building a Company File Server

Hello everyone. I am taking a class that requires planning four different computer systems. The system that I am having the most trouble with is a "company file server". When planning our systems we need to list:

1) the applications we are likely to install
2) hardware needed
3) and list what the most important hardware component is needed for a company file server.

I am able to figure out the other systems, but this one is giving me trouble. I really appreciate anyone willing to give me some help or point me in the right direction.

 

Hello again .... I keep researching this project and keep getting nowhere. In my lab book it says to plan a system that will be used for a company file server. I am not even sure what they mean by this. When I try to research it, nothing really seems to describe an actual computer system! Any thoughts would really be appreciated.
