Building A Gaming Tower

hi, i am looking to build a gaming tower, i aim to start from scratch buy myself a case mother board power supply so on so forth you get the idea, all myself atm i haven't really got much decided on i am not very aware of what is good and what isn't money isn't much of an object when it comes to building it i have been saving for quite sum time so i will have the cash to buy whatever pieces i need, i also have a friend organized who owns and runs his on PC shop to put it all together so if you can tell me what is the best of the best that will work well together i will be very grateful

 

How much do you want to spend? I need some figure 2k 3k 4k etc.

 

about 4k to 5k would be good, in Australian dollars

 

If you want the best of the best I would go with

I7 980X (6 core cpu) (After market cooler)
ATI 5970 Or Nvidia card if you like Nvidia tho ATI has faster card
2 256 GB SSD's in RAID0 1 TB drive for mass storage.
Corsair HX1000W
6 GB DDR3-1333
ASUS Rampage II Extreme
Win 7 64-bit
