Buying a graphics card

Im' looking for some recommendations for a new graphics card. At the moment I use an NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200 Ultra, but I think the fan's gone as it's making a high pitched noise thats doing my nut in.
I don't play games, just watch films, so somthing simple, cheap and quiet will do me.

The reason I ask is because the cards I posted require at least a 300W power source, or above. If you don't have at least 300w, post back and we can try and find you something decent with what you do have.

 

Plenty of cards with "passive" cooling, meaning no fan, can be found. If you live in the U.S., here's what newegg.com has: AGP 4X/8X

 

Thanks, good tips. I like the sound of this passive cooling, think I might get the GIGABYTE GV-N62256DP2-RH GeForce 6200. This is fanless, right? I found out my psu is exactly 300 watts so this card should be alright?

 

Ya, I have the PCI-E version of the 6200, the TC version somewhere which worked great as a general use card though it took some RAM away, not sure about the Gigabyte one.

I don't game either though I do watch movies and it never failed to produce quality results. It's a good choice IMO for a budget card.

 

That card has a DVI port. If your monitor only has a VGA connector, you can still use that card by getting a DVI-to-VGA adapter. Oh, I see an adapter comes with the card; you wouldn't need to buy one. They look like this:
