Buying a new laptop, please help me choose

I've narrowed it down to basically two choices, though feel free to add your own favorites. The first one meets and exceeds my current computer needs. The reason I am looking at the second one is because it is a very nice system and it will keep me having a powerful system for years to come. My current uses are:

Virtual PC 2004, though I don't use it a whole ton
Half Life 2
Word Processing/Internet Browsing
Veiwing Movies(No editting or anyting like that)
Programming-just stuff for my programming class

Battery Life is important, at least 2 hours off battery
