    Should be nice.

When I was doing research for my Bose speakers the people at Best Buy and Circuit City all suggested the Klipsch's speakers as an alternative. I know from the store that those babies can pump :D and from reading online, they seem to stand up very well.

I have been using those exact klipsch speakers since about 2000. The only thisng I can really say is WOW> However, no matter how good a product is you can allways find a few negatives. If money is available do your self a favor and order the 16ga replacement wires from klipsch's site. The 20ga that come with them are pretty wimpy. Also, if I may suggest.... Since you say that gaming is the least of your worries, I would recomment the new ASUS Xonar dx2. However it is a PCI-E sound card so if you do not have an open 1x - 16x slot then it is a no go. Even if you did game I would still recommend this card BTW.

never mind... I just saw that the card that you were looking at was also a PCI-E card...... It has not been a good day for me so far.

Good point as, I like it loud and 20ga is really wimpy for that kind of power. I guess I'll have to get the screwdriver out. I'll check out the board you mentioned too. Thanks, I love first hand experiences.

First hand experience is allways a plus. On a side note I am actually on my second pair of these. the first lasted about 6 yrs. I went out and bought a second set to replace them before I found out that I could have bought the replacement speaker w/ the power control for a decent price direct from klipsch. So I ordered it and sold the set to a friend for 80 bux.

Ouch at the Xonar D2X, too rich for my blood! I'm more in the $100 max range.

I'm sorry... I meant just the "DX" NOT the d2x
