C# to unzip the cab files

Hi,
I have come up with the program that extracts & installs the cab file by using System.Diagonostics & Process.Start() in C#. But all I need is just to unzip the cab files & store in my preferred location & not to extract & install.

Can anyone help me out ?

using the process.start method will execute the application that is associated with the file extension of the file you passed in. What I would do is try something like WinZIP's command line zip program and use that exe's switches to unzip your files. process.start accepts a process to start and parameters to send.

 

I know that j# has some zip functionality, have you checked them out?

 

Also, SharpZipLib is good tool. It might be free.

 

There is a zip functionality in J#.It actually extracts & starts to install.

As Kodo has mentioned. i had done the program by using winzip's commmand line arguement & included it in my C# program. It cools just unzips the package.
