Calc/Packager Error

Hey,

I live in the netherlands, just to let you know, and my computer laterly for the last week or so, everytime i turn it on, it says that Calc has comitted a page fault thingy, and same with Packager, and there are like 30 windows of "warning error" that come up. This is amazingly annoying, and obviously shows that my computer's messed up in some way. I have run everything from McAfee, SpyBot-search and destroy, Trojan Remover, AVG, Panda online, but not much has been "detected". I just wanted to know what i should do to fix my computer. And also sometimes McAfee tells me that it has found a Trojan Horse, but doesnt detect it during the scan. I am running windows 98, so please help me out, someone. Thank You So Much.

 

I had a similar problem with a friend's computer. The error messages calc and packager were there and could not be removed. I noticed that the PCs performance was sluggish and control/alt/delete would not work at all. I looked at the programmes which were running in the background and deleted those that were unneccessary such as real player (using start/run/msconfig/startup). I noticed one programme 'busapr.exe' which I didn't reognise. I then ran Ad-aware which found over 10000 suspicious items and busapr.exe was one of them. I deleted buspar.exe from the startup list, then from the hard drive - the error messages disappeared.

I then used ad-aware, spybot and cwshredder to remove all unwanted files.

I just hope the PC has now recovered from its serious illness!!
