hi all. ive got a problem, my pc has been throwing up an error saying spyware is attempting to install on my pc and to click to download the fix. of course i didnt click, but ran spybot, adaware, AVG and SDFix to no avail. it removed some stuff from my pc but obviously not whats infecting it. my computer is running slow and anything i try to access like control panel or anything like that says that it is restricted to administrator. ive went to safe mode and i can access the stuff, but the popup still comes up in safe mode. can anyone help me? this is just a bunch of crap. lol. absolutley ridiculous. any feedback is appreciative.

i did read it and tried to follow the steps.i have malware and it has removed my task manager, control panel, all of my restore points and wont allow me into properties for my computer. basically not giving me any administrative rights to my pc. im not even sure if it will allow me to run hijack this. i know you guys have steps u want us to follow before we post the log. i ran spybot, adaware and AVG earlier today so i should still have logs of those i think if i can go back into the program and view them. i tryed following the steps at majorgeeks.com but fell short when it wont allow me to run the getrunkey bat. and the shownew bat. . so if i can run hijack this, can i please post the log and get some help, this is so frustrating because im so limited to making any changes or running programs. please help if possible.

You don't need to try and run HijackThis, GetRunKey, or ShowNew. They are embedded automatically within the MGtools.exe process in the instructions in the link I gave you. Use the link I gave you in message # 2. This is a new procedure. The MGtools.exe process in that link will also automatically attempt to fix a few of your problems. You need to try and complete ALL steps even if this means you need to download the tools to another PC and then copy to this PC somehow to run them. Also even though not requested in the procedure, you can attempt using safe boot mode if necessary to try and make some headway.

Also note that a HijackThis log alone will not give us the required information to fix your problems. HijackThis logs show very little of what could be on a PC and by themselves can often be of no use at all.
