My friend found this RAM and I don't know what this is.
    Could somebody possibly identify this?

I know it's NEC and it definitely should not be 256MB.

Notice that there are 18 chips on each side. They're stacked. If anybody could tell me what it is I'd, be glad. Thanks :D

Go here : (http://www.tyan.com/archive/support/html/memory_s1830.html) and scroll down to the next to last line...NEC#D4564441G5. This is indeed 256mb RAM....168pin DIMM modules PC100 Memory Modules. Apparently these were tested at 250watt or above using either 3.3v or 5v with no voltage variance. Now I dont pretend to understand what all this means...Im just reading from the page I found. I think its some kind of industrial type RAM. I just enlarged your photo and googled the part #s....GOOGLE...aint it wonderful ?

    Oh, Thanks.

I just thought that 256 MB shouldn't have so many chips on it.

I'll tell my friend then. Thanks.
