Hey super guys in here, i know this sounds like a completely MAD idea, but is it possible that the magnetism within the cooling fans in close proximity to a HD could cause any possible data loss?
Kick me if i sound thick as pie, its just a nagging thought i have in my head.

While your question is a sound one, it would take pretty powerful magnets to destroy/corrupt data on a modern hd, the case offers some shielding to magnetism. The magnets in a typical case fan wouldnt have enough power to harm a HD.
