Can I Safely Delete Empty Folders In The Roaming Directory?

I found 17 empty folders in the following location of Win 7.

    C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming

    For example:

    1276
    4866
    8190
    13509
    23854
    26084
    30....

Having moved them to a temp folder and rebooted, everything seems to be working fine (so far); but I would like to know what these folders are, and if I can safely delete them. Oddly, a Google search found nothing. I suspect they might be either leftovers from Windows updates or program uninstallation. No?

I have just checked my Roaming folder and all the sub-folders have names and contents.
I think you can safely delete them.

Maybe ad/malware remnants? But remove them whatever :)

Thanks you. I removed them, and all is well. I would still like to know what created them. Next time I update Windows or install a new app, I will monitor the subfolders.
