Can my phone number be traced?

Hello.
I have a dial-up internet connection. Can someone I am emailing with trace my unlisted phone number via my ip, or paid internet service provider? Can my phone no. be traced thru a free email service, such as yahoo, as well? This is a matter of serious concern to me, and I appreciate any help.

Maybe this sounded like a dumb question, but I am an older person, self taught, such as it is; and didn't know whether it was possible to trace a phone number. My privacy is very important to me. You hear about hackers even hacking into the pentagon, so you feel like nothing is safe. So thanks for the reassurance. I will email these people with whom I must reluctantly do business with impunity.
