Can Not Download Ccleaner Portable From Piriform

The MG download page for CCleaner portable links to the Piriform home page.

To access the portable download, you have to navigate through the site to get to the builds page.

There is a note above the portable download link:

The download link goes to the portable download page for less than one second, then returns to the home page.

 

The posted links don't work in Firefox 51.0.1 - no portable.

I downloaded it with FF ESR 45.7.0 and Cyberfox 51.0.3

The file is only 7MB so it downloads very fast. Be sure to check the download folders location because you might have it.

On the MajorGeeks details page for CCleaner Portable, click Download@Authors Site
The file ccsetup527.zip will download. Extract the contents and you will see both CCleaner and CCleaner64.
Run (just double-click) the appropriate file for your system.

 

I was also using Pale Moon. That was the page that "flashed" quickly before returning to the home page.

I just looked with Everything Search - no got.
Good thought, plodr, but the browser is set to always prompt/ask for a download location.

Yep, that's what I did, but it went as I described until just a few minutes ago when I tried again. Got it now!

I have two bookmarks tagged with "CCleaner, cleanup, download, portable, system cleanup", so this was my usual download process.

Was just thinking about you and wondering how it worked out.
I think we're both using Windows 10 but I doubt that was an issue.
Must have been some kind of server glitch that maybe was triggered only when the request came from certain points.

 

Same problem today, trying to download CCleaner Portable version 5.30.
It makes no difference which link I use or which download site I start from, the result is always the same.
Tried with Pale Moon 27.3.0 (normal and safe mode), Firefox Portable 53.0.2 and Edge.

After many attempts for about thirty minutes, suddenly, they all started working.

 

This must be a Server-side problem at Piriform.
