Can not get XP Screen Saver to work

    I can not get Windows XP Screen Saver to work in my Dell Laptop - Inspirion 1710. If I hit the preview key it will go into screensaver mode, but it does not do it automatically. What can I do to reset / fix this?

    Since your laptop is Dell, I presume that you use Dell Media Software.
    Other people had the same problem too. Try disabling this program to check if your screensaver is working.
    Other programs that might conflict with the screensaver might be:
    1. Ehtray.exe.
    2. DVDLauncher.exe
    3. Power DVD
    4. PCM service.
