Can not print to network printer, password requested.

I am running XP Pro. The printer is an HP P3005. It is a network printer. The server is running Server 03. If I have my computer set to require a login password I cannot add this as a new printer due to it asks for a login and password when I try and add it. If I remove the password I can add it. Seems to be the same if I try to access the server, like for shared files. Is there a way around this problem other than removing my login password?

Also, I have figured out it does not matter which other computer I try. We have about 15 of them running XP pro and if I enable the login password, when I try and add the printer it asks for a login and password. It is either a 2003 server problem or is inherent to XP pro. Just some more to think about.
