Cannot Change Wallpaper/background On My Desktop!!!!!!!!

Hello, MajoreGeeks Forum [It's Good To Be Hear]...

Today my brother was using my laptop, and once he got off it and i began to use it, i noticed that my Desktop has changed to a Dark Blue Background, where normally i would have had a picture of a Car as My Desktop Wallpaper..

The weired thing is, is that I cannot seem to change my desktop wallpaper either as that option seems to be disabled...

I am quite new to the computer world, so i am not very familiar with a lot of stuff related to computer's and software's so I would need just a little extra help in that department... Just let me know what you require from me, and i will do my best to provide information that you may require from me, with regards to my laptop...

We have saw tons of these infections lately. The good news is that we CAN remove this infection. The bad news is its going to take a little work, so lets get started!

First, please follow ALL the steps in this Sticky thread READ ME FIRST BEFORE ASKING FOR SUPPORT: Basic Spyware, Trojan And Virus Removal

After doing ALL of the above if you still have a problem:


Download HijackThis 1.99.1

Unzip the hijackthis.exe file to a folder you create named C:\Program Files\HJT

Do NOT run Hijack This from the Desktop, a temp folder, or a sub-folder of C:\Documents and Settings, or choose to run it directly from the ZIP file as your backups will not be safely stored.

Before running HijackThis: You must close each of the following:your web browser, e-mail client, instant messenger, and programs like notepad, wordpad, MS Word etc. And any other unnecessary running programs.

Run HijackThis and save your log file.

Post your log as an ATTACHMENT to your next post. (Do NOT copy/paste the log into your post as it will be removed).
