Cannot connect via WiFi in windows 8

Hi

Some info and thoughts.

Is your Windows 8 at Windows 8.1 update?
What is the make and model of your PC/Laptop, most full model codes are on a sticker on machine.

Is the Wireless you are connecting too a home, work, university or public connection? Do you get any error messages as to why you cannot connect and if so what are they?

Can you run this HERE and once finished the guide, test a connection, so in the Wireless Networks list do you see your wifi and when clicked connect does it ask for a password, if you have one and it tries to connect if you get any errors let us know.

Flickering screen is a tough one, has the PC/laptop been dropped or knocked?
What are the colours off it flickering if there are any, is the flickering all the time?

Need to explain what "when I do go back its fine" is, is this system restore or something else? If the occurrence only disappears for two weeks, then something is possibly been installed that causes this issue, note any updates in that two week period so we can see a change, could be software, Windows Update (don't install any graphic card drivers from Windows Update, right click and hide them) or a driver if your PC maker has installed an updater app.
