cannot get my desktop icons transparent >:O

ever since my computer got overrun with spyware my desktop icons will not change back to being transparent. ive gotten rid of my problems but i still cant get them back to being transparent. ive tried doing the drop shadows and making sure the web items are not locked to the desktop and doing the adjust for best performance and blah blah. its really aggravating because i hate having a messy desktop. any help is greatly appreciated!

 

I'm sure ye already tried, right clicking on "my computer", advanced tab, then click "settings, under Performance, then for a test, click the radial button "adjust for best performance."

Press ok, ok. Is it back?

 

thank you for the reply. but i actually did end up finding a thread on here about it and it was exactly my problem. i had web pages being displayed on my desktop and that was making my icons non-transparent. thank you for your time though
