    Hey Guys,

You all helped me out a lot previously getting all the spyware and malware off my computer. So I my boss was having issues too, so i tried to do the cleaning procedure that you recommended but came upon a whole lot of trouble. First off when I put the CD in with all of the software on it, i got the blue screen of death. Then when I downloaded the software directly from the website, and it won't open up after downloading. I get the error from windows saying that it needs to close. I cannot run windows disc cleanup or even get into the regeditor. Is this computer too messed up to fix? Should I just format everything and start from scratch? Thanks Guys!

Hard to say without seeing the logs that you cannot run......do you have your xp cd?

If so, start / run / type "sfc /scannow" without quotes and note the space after c and before / ......run it twice. Then see if you can do anything.

ComboFix should just be dragged and dropped from the cd to the desktop ...does it not run?

You need to go to tell us exactly what the error message is when you get the BSOD.

Ok, thanks i will try that. Also is there a way to remove malware from cmd prompt at all. Also if it gets to formatting the hard drive, should I just do it with the XP disc or do you recommend a another formating software. Thanks.

Yes it is possible to remove malware with the command prompt.....if you know what files or folders are infected.

As to reformatting....if it comes to that, you would use the xp cd.

    I believe the error is STOP: 0×0000008E (0xC0000005, 0×806EE753, 0xB7963E48, 0×00000000 )
I know how to fix this by going into the Regedit, but windows won't even let me go there.
