Cannot install new battlefield 1942 version

    When i try to install the Battlefield 1942 WW 2 anthology version a box pops up and says that an earlier version of battlefield 1942 has been detected and i need to uninstall it. We removed that game before. I did a file search and also searched my old hard drive and there is no record of that old version.Any others ways to detect it?
