canoscan d646u ex scanner not work

hi, my canoscan d646 has drivers installed , install vuescan , vuescan detects no scanner connected, control panel, administration tools clearly states scanner is connected! i do not have cd downloaded drivers from canon website! do i need software that will recognize it???

 

Unplug the scanner. Restart pc. Let Windows ask for driver. Use the new one if available. Typically, the driver should be installed before the hardware.
