Cant connect to internet after re-installing XP. But my wireless works?

Ok here's the thing, my HD crashed when moving to a new house. I just recently got reconnected to the net in the new pad. My netgear router connected to my PC (which is my main net connection) seems to be working fine because I can access the net through my laptop wirelessly. Now the pob is that my PC will not recognize any connection.

Any help would be invaluable!!!!!!!
