    Hello!

We received a Spam message that we did not open and moved to our "delete" folder in Outlook. If we try to then permanently delete it from that folder, it causes Outlook to have an error and close. It happens every time and only with this one message. How do I permanently delete this message?

We are using Microsoft Outlook 2000 and Windows XP. We are running a current and updated version of Norton and we frequently scan the computer with Ewido.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

    WBP

This may not be a topic for the malware forum! Sounds more like a bug in Outlook.

Are you Deleting the individual message or are you emptying the whole Deleted Items folder which would be a better approach? Right Click the Deleted Items folder and select Empty "Deleted Items" Folder

Make sure all other applications (including your antivirus) are closed when trying the above.

If that does not work, try the same from Safe Boot mode.
