Can't even run SUPERAntiSpyware.exe

Hi guys,

I am following the windows XP cleaning procedures but when I try to run SUPERAntiSyware a window pops up saying there is an error and the program needs to close.

Malwarebytes won't even attempt to start.

Any help please?

Welcome to Major Geeks!

You need to just follow the instructions given. First for SUPERAntiSpyware the below suggestion was given relating to any crashes.

NOTE: If you get a blue screen type crash or any other crash of SUPERAntiSpyware when trying to run the scan then after a reboot, configure the below options and rescan

Run SuperAntiSpyware

In SUPERAntiSpyware under Configuration and Preferences, click the Preferences button.

Click the Scanning Control tab.

Under Scanner Options uncheck the below two options

Use Kernel Direct File Access (recommended)

Use Kernel Direct Registry Access (recommended)

Then try doing a new Complete. If it still crashes, just skip SUPERAntispyware and continue with the other instructions. If the scan runs, continue on with the below steps.

And relating to both SUPERAntiSpyware and Malwarebytes not running, the READ & RUN ME did say the below on the first page

Now complete ALL of the below steps including the specific cleaning instructions for your Windows Version

If something does not run, write down the info to explain to us later but keep on going.

Do not assume that because one step does not work that they all will not.
