just to say, I don't know what section this should go under
I downloaded the X-Setup Pro 7.0, and saved it to my desktop as a .zip file (that's the file type it said it should be saved as) and now i don't know what to do. I open up the .zip file and an error message pops up and says "the file is to large for notepad to open. Would you like to use Wordpad to read this file?" I click yes and then Wordpad opens and some weird kind of text shows up, like jibberish, and that's as far as I got. Help Me!

You need to use an compression program, like Winzip, to open up .zip files.
If you are using windows xp then there should already be a compression program installed, just right-click on the .zip file and choose extract.

There are many free compression/uncompression programs.

If it's XP you don't have to right-click and extract, it has native support.

You can just double-click on it and it will open like a normal folder.

If in XP it's opening in Note or Wordpad then the file association has been incorrectly set.

Please post back with your operating system.

Regardless of what operating system you have, you should be able to right-click on the .zip file that's on your desktop and choose the "Open With" option by left clicking on that. When it gives you the various options of programs to "open with", look to see if you have the program that someone else mentioned entitled WinZip. There will also be a place where you can checkmark to "ALWAYS open .zip files with this program winzip". Be sure to choose that option. Then the extension of .zip will always be associated with Winzip.

IF you don't have Winzip on your system (which you probably do somewhere), then just google it and you'll be sure to find a site where you can download it for free.

Once you have downloaded and installed winzip, your .zip files should be associated with the program winzip. If not, go through step one again and try it that way. Hopefully this will help regardless of what o/s you're using. Next time, you might want to list your operating system.

    Cherie :D
