can't install service pack for winxp

    anytime i go to install sp1 for windows xp (home edition), it just closes itself and a pop up message appears saying, "Windows XP Service Pack Cancelled". that's it. that's all it says. I've tried installing it through windows update, and by downloading the full file through kazaa. neither worked. it gave the same error message. any ideas?

    nope, didn't work. did the exact same thing. said "Service Pack 1 Setup Cancelled."
