can't install vista service pack 1 & bios update

I did a fresh install on my hp pavilion dv6646us. I then proceeded to do windows & HP updates, I did have update bios, tried to do it but it wouldn't I got the error message box pops up windows script error... script: C:\windows\help\OEM\scripts\HC_VistaSP1BIOSUpdate.jse

so I downloaded vista service pack 1 & when I went to install that wouldn't install until I did the bios update. what do I need to do to be able to move on?

Be extremely careful because if done incorrectly, a BIOS update can turn your laptop into a doorstop!
Read through these directions several times and print out the parts that apply to you

Did you go to the HP site and physically download the BIOS update, or did you use a program from HP that came with your PC to try the update? Google shows a few instances of this problem associated with the HP SA Healthcheck program.

Here is the portal to your HP PC where you can look for the BIOS update and update manually:

For more help I recommend the HP support forum, since it looks like the HP Healthcheck program could be the problem.
