Can't remove file!!!! Keeps duplicating

I down loaded some filters, frames and gradients for Photoshop7 and didn't like them. I tried to uninstall, delte them and they just duplicate themselves. I have gone into the search and tried to delte them, only to have them duplicate themselves again, unisntalled Photoshop, and they still remained. I did virus scans with 4 diffrent types of scans, no virus show. I did several diffrent spyware scans and nothing shows. What now? The regerstry show no unususal programs running inthe background. Please help.

Where did you download them from?

Why do you believe this is a malware issue (other than you cannot delete them)?

I've seen that happen with games. It may be that your XP-PC is doing a system restore. If you turn that off, delete the files, and turn it back on, the files may stay gone.

I did a system restore from the computer, back to a previous start date and nothing. The files are still there. I have gone into safe mode and tried to delete the files, and the regestery. the files keep duplicating themselves and continue to reproduce. There may be 100 copies of one item in the file.
Do I need to do a system restore from the disk? I hope not.

I repeat my previous question! Why do you believe this to be a malware issue? You installed these items into Photoshop yourself. This sounds like a Software Forum problem not a Spyware Specific Forum problems. Did you try using Add/Remove Programs to uninstall the filters that you Added?

If you believe your problem is related to malware. You will have to be more specific in reporting what the problem files are and where they are located. Also you must run the cleanup procedures below:

To help us to best help you, please follow the steps below closely and in the order given and do not skip anything. If you have any difficulty, please post back letting us know what steps you have completed, what you found while doing the scans if anything along with details about any problems you may have encountered in completing the steps. The more details you can provide the better. Don't be afraid to ask for additional help if you don't understand something!

- Run ALL the steps in this Sticky thread READ ME FIRST BEFORE ASKING FOR SUPPORT: Basic Spyware, Trojan And Virus Removal Make sure you check version numbers and get all updates.

- Very Important: Make sure you tell us the results from running the tutorial...was anything found? Were you unable to complete any of the scans?...Were you unable to download any of the tools?...Did you do the on-line scans as suggested? etc.

After doing ALL of the above you still have a problem:

- Download HijackThis 1.99.1

- Unzip the hijackthis.exe file to a folder you create named C:\Program Files\HJT

- Do NOT run Hijack This from the Desktop, a temp folder, or a sub-folder of C:\Documents and Settings, or choose to run it directly from the downloaded ZIP file.

- Before running HijackThis: You must close each of the following:your web browser, e-mail client, instant messenger, and programs like notepad, wordpad, MS Word etc. And any other unnecessary running programs.

- Run HijackThis and save your log file.

- Post your log as an ATTACHMENT to your next message. (Do NOT copy/paste the log into your post).
