Hi - I'm was having several issues but these are the few that weren't corrected after going through the 'run and read me first' steps. IE Explorer 10 gives a 'page not found' error. Chrome is redirecting to a different search page. I can't uninstall Playtopus. I've attached my log files and would appreciate any help you can give.
    Thank you!

Run Hitman Pro again and this time allow it to fix all the Potential Unwanted Programs items that it found. And then immediately reboot your PC. After reboot, run a new scan with Hitman and attach the new log.

Run C:\MGtools\analyse.exe by double clicking on it (Note: if using Vista or Win 7, don't double click, use right click and select Run As Administrator). This is really HijackThis (select Do a system scan only) and select the following lines but DO NOT CLICK FIX until you exit all browser sessions including the one you are reading in right now:

    R3 - URLSearchHook: (no name) - {26842a09-ffa8-4e2c-ae12-0c80f01c3295} - C:\Program Files (x86)\MapsGalaxy_39\bar\1.bin\39SrcAs.dll

    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Sendori Tray] "C:\Program Files (x86)\Sendori\SendoriTray.exe"

    After clicking Fix, exit HJT.

    Now uninstall the below software:
    DefaultTab
    Java(TM) 7 Update 4
    MapsGalaxy Toolbar
    Sendori
    Viewpoint Media Player

Now install the current version of Sun Java from: Sun Java Runtime Environment

Please download OTM by Old Timer and save it to your Desktop.
    • Run it by double clicking on it (Note: if using Vista, Win7, or Win8, don't double click, use right click and select Run As Administrator).
    • Copy the lines from the below codebox to the clipboard by highlighting ALL of them and pressing CTRL + C
(or, after highlighting, right-click and choose Copy): Do not include the word Code: which is just a title line of

    • Return to OTM, right click in the Paste List of Files/Folders to Move window (under the yellow bar
      ) and choose Paste.
    • Now click the large [IMG] button.
    • If OTM asks to reboot your computer, allow it to do so. The report should appear in Notepad after the reboot.
    • Close OTM.
Now navigate to the C:\_OTM\MovedFiles folder ( assuming your Windows drive is C). This is where your log will be
saved in the form of Date and Time mmddyyyy_hhmmss.log. Just look for the most recent .log file. Attach
this log file to your next message.

Now please download Junkware Removal Tool to your desktop.
    • Shut down your protection software now to avoid potential conflicts.
    • Run the tool by double-clicking it. If you are using Windows Vista or Seven, right-mouse click it and select Run as Administrator.
    • The tool will open and start scanning your system.
    • Note: That JRT may reset your home page to a google default so you will need to restore your home page setting if this happens.
    • Please be patient as this can take a while to complete depending on your system's specifications.
    • On completion, a log (JRT.txt) is saved to your desktop and will automatically open.
    • Attach JRT.txt to your next message.

Now run the C:\MGtools\GetLogs.bat file by double clicking on it (Note: if using Vista or Win7, don't double click, use right click and select Run As Administrator).

    Then attach the below logs:
    • the the new Hitman Pro log
    • the JRT.txt log
    • the C:\_OTM\MovedFiles log
    • C:\MGlogs.zip
Make sure you tell me how things are working now!

One last thing - I still haven't been able to remove claro-search. It pops up as the default search engine when I open Chrome. It doesn't appear in the list of applications, so I can't uninstall, and it doesn't appear in the settings within Chrome... thanks in advance for your help!

Per your logs, it appears that you skipped an imporant step. It shows that you skipped the below instructions:

Instructions have to be followed in the order given. Now it may not be possible to uninstall all of these since the instructions that followed this step, could have impacted to uninstallers. See if you can follow those steps now. And then rerun the C:\MGtools\GetLogs.bat file like last time to get a new MGlogs.zip file to attach.

    Hello -
When running mgtools\analyse.exe, the options that you indicate to check are not listed. Also, the programs that you've asked me to uninstall are no longer listed in the control panel because uninstalled them when I followed your original instructions. Sorry for the back and forth - I do believe I followed your original instructions so I'm wondering if I've given you the wrong log files. Please let me know how I should proceed. I appreciate your patience.

Okay then please remove MGlogs.zip from your Desktop. Also remove the one located at C:\MGlogs.zip. And also remove any copies of MGtools.exe that you have. Once you do this, then terminate Kaspersky and then do the below check to see if any error messages occur.

Now run the C:\MGtools\GetLogs.bat file by double clicking on it (Note: if using Vista or Win7, don't double click, use right click and select Run As Administrator).

    Then attach the below log:
    • C:\MGlogs.zip

    Okay that looks much better.

Now is you are still having issues with Claro in Chrome, then uninstall Chrome and reboot.

After reboot, delete the below two folders:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome
    C:\Users\Fr. Ken\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome

Now use Internet Explorer to download the current version Chrome and reinstall.

You can download it here >> Google Chrome 25.0.1364.172 Stable

    Is everything working okay now?
