I cannot view status of connection in Windows XP. When I right click on a connection and right click on status, nothing pops up. If you know what the problem is, please help me.

Try going into the control panel and click on the network and inter connections option the just look for the connection and see if it is available. Also you can go to command prompt and type netstat to get a summary of your current connection. command prompt is accesible by going to run from the start menu and typing cmd. also delete the icon on the desktop and creat a new one.
