Catalyst 12.6 beta driver/ amd 7900 series

Bought a Sapphire 7970 dual X video card a month ago and have gamed on pc more then I have in yrs recently. Installed the Cat 12.6 drivers just yesterday and promptly played Dungeon Siege 2 (at 1080p after editing an .ini file) for 7-8 hours straight. No problems.

Decide to check my emails and browse the web for a few minutes before shutting down...........(sites I went to use flash plugins).....

Screen freeze.............dark lime green

Reboot, rinse, repeat......same results. Then remove Adobe flash player entirely via Add/Remove in Win 7's "Control Panel." Try some more sites, SAME THING...hard lock w/ green screen.

A friend in Florida also installed 12.6 Cats yesterday and hes using an older HD5850 video card.....Hes had no problems in game or on flash enhanced websites...

Not sure what the problem was? Reverted back to 12.4 Cats and all is well.

 

Apparently users of older versions of firefox had a similar experience with the 12.6 betas. I had been using FF8, lol.
