Is it safe to run the Windows part of Ccleaner?

    Thank you

Moved to the Software Forum because this is not a malware issue.

Yes it is safe but be aware that removing all cookies will remove any saved passwords. And removing History may remove things you may wish to have kept too. It's up to you. You can selectively setup which Cookies to always keep under Options>>Cookies.

Also note that eveything under the Windows tab and the Applications tab are part of what gets cleaned up when you click Run Cleaner.

I suggest that you do not use anything under the Advanced heading.

Here is the documentation about what the Windows section does.

Thank you all for your help. I only use Windows and then just about 4 of the entries.
There is no way to back up that I know unless I use the registry cleaner, third party program or Macrium..
