Ccleaner?

    Hi, i read from softpedia that ccleaner has adware and closer research bring me to yahoo toolbar...does that version of ccleaner in Majorgeek install yahoo toolbar to ur computer?...

    Only if you tell it to; you are given the option when installing the program. It works fine if you don't install the toolbar.

    Co-branding like that is getting more popular; it helps offset the expense of writing a program someone intends to be freeware.

    And the version MG has is the same release everyone else offers, even the author's site.

    To go along with this. What is here and at the CCleaner site is what's called the standard build. At CCleaner's is another download page (http://www.ccleaner.com/downloadbuilds.asp) with a Basic (no toolbar) and Slim (no toolbar and English only) builds. The page says those build are not for distributing or mirroring. This page is useful if you're concerned size and download time.
