cd burner wont open

My cd burner will not open. When I push the button nothing happens. I do not know if it is broken or just stuck. Should I try to manually open it? If so how do I do it?

 

First reboot the computer and see if it will open then. Sometimes Windows gets stuck.

If that dose'nt work then you need a small paper clip.

There should be a small hole on the front of the burner.

Insert the end of the paper clip straight into the hole and push the release lever.

 

Thank you akjackson. The paperclip did the trick. I had to push it in a lot harder than I thought I would, but it worked. )
