   Does anybody know of any tools to test to make sure that a CD-ROM drive (Or DVD-ROM drive) is working properly more then putting a cd in the drive and seeing if it reads? Maybe a stress tool or simulated scratches?
   
   I would like to be able to throw a cd in a drive and make sure the unti is okay.
