Change IP to show US location?

Hi there not sure if this has been posted before, I tried browsing the forums and haven't found something yet.

I am not sure if it is possible, but I am trying to look for a way to "mask" my IP address to show me located in the US rather then where I am at the moment which is Europe.

Only wish to do so in order to access the ever so growing number of US sites that are so keen on discriminating non US citizens. Its usually for trivial matters like listening to music or watching ones favourite shows that are not airing and might not ever air in Europe. So please if anyone out there has any suggestions plz let me know ^_^

 

Get some proxy server software.

iPig (http://www.iopus.com/iPig/) is a decent program that works. I'm in The Bahamas so I can relate to what you're going through.

 

Ty for the suggestion Matrixblue but unfortunately though I got the freeware and tried using it , though my line is supposedly showing an IP address IN the US its still apparently showing me outside the US so the problem remains and I can STILL not access the sites I was interested in. I would have tried it out a lil more but the freeware was good for litterally 3-4 minutes of attempting to open sites before it was used up

Anyone else out there have any ideas? Please please please ^_^

 

I'd say you could try going through a US based proxy server, but it would probably be extremely slow.

 

You can use the software Hide my IP. It worked for me in Argentina. Even though when I tried with the free downloads it failed with Firefox and was too slow. Then with the paid software it worked fine.
