How would I go about this. It took time and digging but I found a proper bios upgrade for my PC to allow over clocking and modding. But I know in the past you had to use a formated floppy to flash or upgrade bios.

Is there a way to do it otherwise as no PC i own has a floppy drive anymore.

It depends on your motherboard. Many new motherboards will allow you to flash BIOS from within Windows.

    Its a IntelĀ® D101GGC.

its newer as in about 5 years old. Is it possible to use a flash drive or portable hard drive?

Its not the best Motherboard in the world by far nor even the best computer but I can squeeze a bit mroe out of it and plan to. Im just wanting a simple all around machine and I can do some simple work to this one to get where i want till I can afford better.

All instructions, I can see, for that board call for a floppy.

You have to check your BIOS, if it allows booting from USB device.
