changing computer config info

    can we make changes in our PC's programming or OS programming so as it can show nething what we want it to show on right click my comp properties......eg. i want my OS to show a dual core 2.6 ghz processor although it has a p4 processor physically

    but many people i know do such things.....its unfortunate they are not telling me how to do this?.....

    Oh? Got links? You change some of that information, for example, the Support Information. But the information you are talking about is retrieved from the CPU, and that's hard-coded in.
