changing folder detail view..

Hi all..
This is a strange one, but also really annoying.

On my main XP Pro box, I have many folders storing images and graphics for my website. When I open to view or browse images, the details displayed are name, size, type, date modified, date picture taken and dimensions. I have removed the "date picture taken" and "dimensions" detail from every folder, every time I see them. I have tried every combination of saving folder view options, closing the folder, creating new folders, etc, etc... the problem even carries over to folders opened to view files on my server.

This is really driving me nuts as that damned "dimensions" field eats up resources as it slowly ticks down one line at a time, calculating the dimensions for hundreds of images.

Can anyone shed some light on this (really lame) problem, please?
