changing German laptop into a english version

    I was given a laptop by that was owned by a german friend. I was wondering if it is possible to change it to work in english?

    I have read it involves wiping the HD and flashing something... and I have also heard that it is not possible at all.

    No. You cannot upgrade to English either. You will need to do a brand-new
    install of English language Windows XP.
