Cheap Graphics card advice

    My friend is on a budget of about 100 dollars and he was wondering what kind of card he should get that would give him the best bang for his buck. Thank you for your help.

    That all depends on a few things.... what does he want to do with the video card? Just regular display? Or does he want dvd playback, some gaming or all the bells and whistles?     definetly follow the guide mastertech linked you to. its most important (to your friend) to have good performance in the games he likes to play.

    my personal recomendation is a GeForce FX5700 for around $110, or a Radeon 9600 (not SE!) for around $95
